Ridge Holland Was Not Paid Extra For TNA Wrestling Appearances

Ridge Holland wasn’t paid extra for his TNA Wrestling appearances, per new information reported by Fightful Select.

Ridge Holland, whose real name is Luke Menzies, recently announced that WWE would not be renewing his contract when it expires on November 14. He’s currently rehabbing an injury he sustained while wrestling at a TNA taping as part of the working relationship between WWE NXT and TNA. He also revealed that WWE would cover his rehab costs during his time away.

Per a new report from Fightful Select, Ridge Holland wasn’t paid extra for the TNA appearance. There’s also information about how much money Holland was earning in the latter part of his career after he returned to NXT following his main roster stint.

There were many fans who acted as if paying the rehab was a good will gesture. However, Ridge Holland was injured while working a TNA booking that was a part of his WWE contract. Not paying for his rehab would have been a situation that likely led to a successful lawsuit on Menzies’ part.

Beyond that, reports emerged from Wrestling Observer that Menzies was on “NXT money,” which is accurate. Fightful Select has learned that Menzies original main roster deal was up in November 2024. He was offered a one-year extension at about $200,000 less than that he had been making, and accepted it. That deal is up in mid-November. We’re told that Menzies wasn’t paid extra as a part of the TNA talent exchange that saw him get injured.
