Ridge Holland Provides Update On Recovery From Lisfranc Injury, Says He’s Speaking To Specialist About Neck Injury That Could Require Surgery

Ridge Holland provides a brief medical update.
On Friday, October 3, Ridge Holland underwent surgery for his Lisfranc injury. A week later, Holland provided a brief update to fans, saying that he was hoping to start weight bearing in three weeks.
Now, Holland has provided a new update, saying that he’s traveling to Birmingham in seven days to get his cast taken off. Holland will also take part in more X-Rays to ensure that he can start partial weight bearing.
Holland also shared some news on a different injury, revealing that he’ll be speaking to a neck specialist while he’s in Birmingham. The worst case scenario would see Holland undergo neck surgery.
“So, just a bit of an update. Next Tuesday, I’ve got to go to Birmingham, Alabama to have the cast off, some more X-Rays to make sure that the foot is all good and we can go to partial weight bearing. The kicker is that prior to the foot, I had a neck injury that was going to get imaging for. I got imaging for that post-foot surgery and I’m going to Birmingham to see the neck specialist. Worst case scenario, I’ll need neck surgery and I’m hoping for the best case scenario, which is injections but I’m having some nerve impingement which is sending pain down my arm, so I’m a little bit apprehensive about what’s going to happen because it’s another kick in the balls, really. I’ll keep you posted.”
