Ric Flair talks the ESPN-WWE deal.

Ric Flair talks the recent ESPN-WWE deal.

Earlier this week on August 6th, WWE and ESPN would announce that the two companies had struck a deal for WWE to air their PLE’s on ESPN’s streaming platform beginning in 2026.

While speaking to Clay Edwards in a new interview, Ric was asked if he sits back and looks at things like the WWE-ESPN deal and thinks ‘you’re welcome’, with Flair bluntly replying that he does not.

“No. They print money. They’re doing so well. I’m happy with them. I just saw all of them at Hulk’s funeral. Just knowing them all. I know Hunter and stuff very well. Vince was there. Shane was there. A lot of the guys.”

ESPN’s new streaming service is set to launch on August 21st, with WWE PLE’s also set to air on ESPN’s cable channel.

Netflix currently airs all of WWE’s weekly shows and PLE’s in Europe.

In other news about ESPN, it was recently revealed that The Undertaker turned down the chance to be in ESPN’s The Body Issue. You can read more about that here.
