Rhea Ripley Was Terrified After Getting First Tattoo Because She Didn’t Get WWE Approval, Triple H Thought It Was Sick

Rhea Ripley has transformed her looks over the years, first sporting blonde hair and no tattoos when she joined WWE, to now having dark hair and covered in tattoos.

Speaking on Break It Down, Ripley reflected on getting her first tattoo while she was in WWE.

“I remember getting my first arm tattoo; it was my little demon lady. It was a couple days before my cage match with Mercedes Martinez in NXT. I remember walking up to NXT absolutely terrified because I didn’t get it approved at all. I remember Hunter walked up to me as we were going through the cage match and he goes, ‘Is that new?’ I go, ‘Yeah, I got it a couple days ago.’ He goes, ‘Oh, it looks awesome. That’s sick,’ and walks away. I was like, ‘Oh my God. Are you kidding me? My boss just said my tattoo was sick and he didn’t yell at me for it or tell me off.’ It was at that point where I knew that I couldn’t really do any wrong, so I just kept getting tattoos and he kept telling me they look really cool. I just kept getting away with it [laughs]. I don’t know how,” she said.

Ripley has become one of the top stars in all of WWE over the years, winning multiple women’s championships during her run.
