Rey Mysterio: Still Wish Eddie Would Have Beat Me & Kept Dom’s Custody

Rey Mysterio still wishes Dominik Mysterio had beaten him at SummerSlam 2005.
At SummerSlam 2005, Rey would take on Eddie Guerrero in a ladder match for the custody of Dominik, with Mysterio coming away with the victory and custody of his son. At SummerSlam 2025, Dominik would go one on with AJ Styles for the WWE Intercontinental Championship, with the match featuring several tributes to Eddie.
In a new social media post late on Sunday evening, Rey Mysterio would react to the classic Eddie Guerrero spots used in the bout, noting that he wishes that Eddie had beat him at SummerSlam 2005.
