Report: WWE Returning To Puerto Rico In 2026

WWE is reportedly returning to Puerto Rico in 2026.
John Pollock & Brandon Thurston of POST Wrestling report that WWE will return to San Juan, Puerto Rico for WWE Backlash in 2026.
The report continues, “While we have not confirmed the exact date, a source with access to an internal calendar indicates Backlash is listed for Saturday, May 9.”
WWE has not confirmed the event date or location.
Backlash 2023 was held in Puerto Rico and featured music superstar Bad Bunny taking on Damian Priest in a street fight.
According to POST, the 2023 event “included a $1.5 million subsidy and a $300,000 “in-kind contribution” provided by the Puerto Rico Conventions District Authority.” The event sold 15,145 tickets and generated a $1,447,558 gate.
SmackDown, the night before Backlash 2023, was also held in Puerto Rico.
