Report: WWE Considering Dominik Mysterio For AAA Mega Title Run

A new report suggests that Dominik Mysterio could have more gold in his future, as WWE is considering making him a top champion in Lucha Libre AAA.

According to a new report from WrestleVotes, WWE is considering having Dominik Mysterio win the AAA Mega Championship. Hijo del Vikingo currently holds the title. He will be challenged for the title by three WWE Superstars: Mysterio, Dragon Lee, and El Grande Americano at the AAA Triplemania XXXIII event in August.

When Dominik Mysterio made his surprise appearance at AAA Alianzas to declare his intentions to challenge for the gold, he received a rousing ovation. Big E called the moment “incredible.”

Dominik Mysterio currently holds the WWE Intercontinental Championship, but declared that when he wins the AAA Mega Title, he would be the new King of the Luchadores. Mysterio may not hold the Intercontinental Championship for long, however. He will defend the gold against AJ Styles at WWE SummerSlam. Learn more here.
