REPORT: Netflix Exploring Bid To Acquire Warner Bros. Discovery

Another potential bidder for Warner Bros Discovery.

There’s a story up on Deadline which notes that Netflix is exploring a bid to acquire Warner Bros. Discovery.

The site notes that Netflix retained financial advisory from advisory firm Moelis & Co. They got in contact with the firm to go over a potential offer for WBD’s streaming and studio business. Moelis & Co. advised Skydance on its bid for Paramount Global, which opened the door for Netflix to gain access to Warner Bros. Discovery’s necessary financial details.

Deadline reached out to Netflix, and they declined to comment on the situation.

WBD rejected Paramount’s second bid. In the past, Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos shut down the idea of Netflix owning legacy media.

WWE’s Monday Night Raw program airs on Netflix, and Friday Night SmackDown airs on the platform internationally. All Elite Wrestling is under the Warner Bros. Discovery umbrella.
