QT Marshall Praises AEW Program With Big Boom AJ: It Was A Home Run

QT Marshall is very proud of the work that he did with “Big Boom!” AJ in AEW. The relationship between AJ and Marshall goes back to Marshall’s early days on the northeast independent wrestling circuit. Long before he was ever a Costco Guy, AJ was bringing the boom as Eric Justice. When his time as an active wrestler was coming to an end, AJ endorsed a young QT. Many years later, Marshall would get to return the favor.

Once AJ and his son, Big Justice, became viral celebrities for their love of double-chunk chocolate cookies and chicken bakes, the opportunity arose for AJ to return to his first love of professional wrestling. He would sign with AEW and work a program with QT Marshall. The two ended up wrestling on the AEW Full Gear 2024: Zero Hour, and AJ brought the boom once again. Now, he’s reflecting on the experience.

Speaking with Jeremy Lambert and Stephen Jensen on Fightful Overbooked’s The Spotlight, Marshall called the experience one of his favorite things from his career.  QT called it one of his best contributions to wrestling overall. Ever the consummate worker, he also teased the possibility of a rematch.

“That’s one of my favorite things that I’ve ever done in my career. One of the greatest things I’ve done when it comes to the overall business of doing professional wrestling. I’ve had better matches, maybe, I’ve had better angles, but overall, what it did for me, AEW, AJ, it was a home run. I’d even say it was a grand slam. He did a great job at All In, again. Who knows, maybe there will be a rematch. You never know.”

QT Marshall has also stirred the pot in Ring of Honor and AEW with Paul Walter Hauser. However, tensions haven’t escalated to the point of an official match being made.

QT Marshall’s 1FW promotion is running the storied Center Stage venue in Atlanta, Georgia, on Friday, July 25. Fans can purchase tickets for 1FW Summer Stage at this link.
