Pro Wrestling NOAH ‘NOAH The New Year 2026’ Results (1/1/26): Yoshiki Inamura Retains GHC Heavyweight Title

Full results from the event.

The first show of 2026 for Pro Wrestling NOAH was the NOAH The New Year event from Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, Japan.

There were nine matches on the bill, and the show was headlined by Yoshiki Inamura defending the GHC Heavyweight Championship against OZAWA. Inamura had to fight off members of OZAWA’s Team 2000X faction, including their newest member Alpha Wolf, who, earlier on the show, turned on his brother Dragon Bane and then joined the faction and captured his brother’s GHC National Title.

Bane came to the ring to help Inamura fight off Team 2000X. Inamura went on to defeat OZAWA to retain.

There were four title changes on the night, and below are the complete results:

  • GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship — Three-Way Tag Team Match: Daga & Daiki Odashima (c) def. All Rebellion (Kai Fujimura & Alejandro) and Eita & Shuji Kondo
  • Team 2000X (Masa Kitamiya, Takashi Sugiura, Tadasuke & Jun Masaoka) def. Kazuyuki Fujita, Minoru Suzuki, Shuhei Taniguchi & Junta Miyawaki
  • PROGRESS Atlas Championship: Saxon Huxley def. Will Kroos (c)
  • White Raven Sqwad (KENTA, Ulka Sasaki, Tetsuya Endo & HAYATA) def. Team NOAH (Atsushi Kotoge, Muhammad Yone, Hajime Ohara & Hi69)
  • GHC National Championship: Alpha Wolf def. Dragon Bane (c)
  • The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows) def. Kaito Kiyomiya & Jack Morris
  • GHC Tag Team Championship: Los Tranquilos de Japon (BUSHI & Tetsuya Naito) (w/ RYUSEI) def. Naomichi Marufuji & Kenoh (c)
  • GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship: AMAKUSA def. Hiromu Takahashi (c)
  • GHC Heavyweight Championship: Yoshiki Inamura (c) def. OZAWA (w/ Team 2000X)

After the main event, Inamura gave props to OZAWA and said he wants to run it back without involvement from Team 2000X. Inamura then nominated Kenoh as the next challenger. Kenoh made his way out to the ring, but he was attacked from behind by Team 2000X’s Masa Kitamiya.

Kitamiya stepped up to the GHC Heavyweight Champion, and they ended up coming to blows, but Inamura got the best of him.
