AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door will likely be headlined by the Lights Out Steel Cage Match pitting Golden Lovers (Kenny Omega & Kota Ibushi), Darby Allin, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Will Ospreay against Death Riders (Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli), The Young Bucks (Nick Jackson & Matt Jackson) and Gabe Kidd.

The cage wraps around the ringside area as opposed to the ring apron, giving the ten men more room to maneuver in the bout.

Lights Out matches have traditionally closed AEW pay-per-views as they are unsanctioned by the company.
