Paul Heyman Says He Only Attends Some Creative Meetings, ‘I’m Not Exposed To The Weekly Grind’

Paul Heyman isn’t in the trenches every week.

Within the first day of the show’s release, fans around the world of wrestling spotted Paul Heyman in various creative meetings that were featured in WWE: Unreal.

Appearing on a recent episode of The Ariel Helwani Show, Heyman talked about his attendance, saying that he mainly sticks to long-term creative meetings. Heyman also gave credit to the weekly writers, saying they deserve a ton of credit.

“Some of them, not all of them. Long-term meetings, I’m in. When we start talking about next year’s WrestleMania or the year after WrestleMania or the year after that’s WrestleMania or next year’s Royal Rumble or Elimination Chamber or this year’s Survivor Series. When we start planning things out, I go to those meetings. I’m not exposed to the weekly grind like the other writers who deserve a ton of credit. They’re exposed to that weekly grind, I’m not.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Heyman responded to Goldberg’s negative comments about his retirement match in WWE. Check out his full response by clicking here.
