Paul Heyman discusses Seth Rollins’ style and if he should change his style to avoid more injuries in the future.
At WWE Crown Jewel Perth late last year, Seth Rollins would suffer a shoulder injury in his bout with Cody Rhodes that would lead to him needing to vacate the World Heavyweight Championship, marking the second reign of his career cut short due to injury. Prior to the injury, Rollins had been working with Paul Heyman since WrestleMania 41.
While speaking to Shak Wrestling in a new interview, Paul Heyman was asked if he feels like Seth Rollins should change his style to avoid future injuries.
“No. He’s balls to the wall. I once heard someone describe Bon Scott, who was the original lead singer for ACDC. in that Bon Scott sung every single note as if it were to be his last, and Seth Rollins wrestles every single match as if it were to be his last. He truly leaves it all in the ring, and if I were to sit here and say, well, he needs to adopt a safer style. Well, he needs to be cognizant to the fact that he’s lost more time to injury than he would have liked, then I’m asking him to scale back. Then I’m asking him to do less. Then I’m asking him not to employ the type of style that has made him Seth freakin’ Rollins. When you see Seth Rollins, it’s something special because you never know if it’s his last match because he’s willing to wrestle as if it is.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Heyman spoke about CM Punk’s authenticity. You can read more about that here.
