Pat McAfee Takes Aim At ESPN’s ‘Mid-Level, Powerless, Bum Ass Suits’ Following WWE PLE Deal

McAfee takes a shot at ESPN’s higher-ups.

Beginning in 2026, WWE’s Premium Live Events will be airing on ESPN’s new direct-to-consumer service.

After the news was made public, Pat McAfee took to X to comment. He took aim at ESPN higher-ups and referred to them as ‘bum ass suits.’ McAfee mentioned that those individuals will muddy the deal with WWE via anonymous opinions and leaks.

Congrats to the @WWE and @espn on getting a historic PLE deal done.

Great to see 2 powerhouses of sports and entertainment come together.

I assume all the mid level, powerless, bum ass suits at ESPN will attempt to muddy this somehow (out of context leaks/ignorant anonymous opinions/etc.) but, in the end.. this agreement will outlive the dinosaurs currently guarding desks in Bristol and this deal will be great for ESPN.

Cheers to the future

In 2024, McAfee publicly criticized ESPN executive Norby Williamson and said he was attempting to sabotage The Pat McAfee Show, which airs on ESPN.

McAfee took a break from calling the action of WWE. He shared that he was burned out from the grind and traveling in addition to his non-WWE duties.
