Orange Cassidy: I Take Wrestling Way More Seriously Than People Probably Think

Orange Cassidy is known for his laid back style, until the bell rings, and then he proves he can hang with anyone in the ring.

Appearing on Casuals with Katie Nolan, she wondered if people thought OC was mocking wrestling being “silly” with his persona.

OC replied, “I can understand the argument of that, but usually those people haven’t actually seen me wrestle. They say stuff and I’m like, ‘You’ve definitely never seen a match.’ Maybe you don’t care to, that’s fine. I don’t think this works if I don’t wrestle. I need to know how to wrestle in order for this to work. I take wrestling way more seriously than people probably think I do because I love it and respect it so much and I want to know as much as I possibly can. I overanalyze every single little thing, and I think about it, literally, 24/7. I want to perfect my craft. This is what I do. It doesn’t mean I’m going to do all of it because you do what you have to, when you have to. I talk to a lot of people that aren’t wrestling fans. All my friends I grew up with aren’t wrestling fans. To me, ‘I want you to just watch. Have fun. Relax. Enjoy it.'”

Cassidy is part of The Conglomeration with Kyle O’Reilly, Tomohiro Ishii, Hologram, Willow Nightingale, and Mark Briscoe.

Elsewhere during the interview, Cassidy commented on his next t-shirt. You can find his comments here.
