Onix Caballero Reflects on Advice from Roman Reigns, Sets Sights On WWE Main Roster

Onix Caballero reflects on the advice he received from Roman Reigns and his goals for the future after making brief cameo appearances on WWE NXT.

Onix Caballero recently appeared on WWE NXT as one of Stacks’ goons during his rivalry with Tony D’Angelo. The long-haired professional wrestler is now reflecting on his brief WWE experience and the advice given to him by Roman Reigns.

Caballero appeared on Ringsiders Wrestling and spoke about how the former Undisputed WWE Universal Champion told him to perfect his craft and not give up on his dreams.

“I’m going to be honest, and I’m not trying to sound cocky, my dream and my goal is to just be the number one and to take everything. So right now, it was cool working in NXT, but I feel where I belong and my heart belongs is in WWE, being in the main event, being the one,” he said. “I talked to Roman Reigns, and oh my God… it was such a motivation talking to him. I told him, ‘Hey, man, I admire you a lot, and one day we can work together.’ It was really cool. I won’t lie to you, his words really pumped me up to another level, because, sometimes real life, working construction, and I have five kids, and it’s really hard [to divide] my time to do things really hard, to work out, to be a husband, to be a father. I get sad sometimes, like, damn, I just want to be the main one. I just want my opportunity.

“Talking to Roman, he told me, like, ‘Don’t take no as the answer. Just keep pushing. Your time will come. Don’t give up. If somebody already said no, it’s because a yes is going to come after. Just perfect your craft and keep trying.'”

Roman Reigns is in the midst of branching out. He’s confirmed to be playing Akuma in the upcoming Street Fighter film release. Learn more here.
