WWE SmackDown Spoilers (8/22)

WWE held the August 22nd episode of WWE SmackDown from the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland. The event aired live for international fans on Netflix. The show will air at 8 p.m. ET on USA Network for fans in the US.

• Becky Lynch opened the show and turned on the crowd, who chanted “shut the fuck up.” She was interrupted by Tiffany Stratton, and then Nia Jax. Nia attacked Tiffany. Jade Cargill made the save. Nick Aldis announced Stratton & Cargill vs. Lynch & Jax in the main event.
• Fraxiom (Axiom & Nathan Frazer) confronted Carmelo Hayes backstage. The Miz interrupted and Hayes reminded Fraxiom who the Miz is.
• Melo Don’t Miz (The Miz & Carmelo Hayes) def. Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin)
• Sami Zayn congratulates Jimmy Uso backstage. Solo Sikoa and the MFTs confront them. Sami says they aren’t dealing with underdogs, they’re dealing with WrestleMania main eventers.
• Piper Niven def. Charlotte Flair
• Michin confronts Giulia backstage. Kiana James says if she wants to face Giulia, she has to go through her.
• Logan Paul interrupts John Cena in the ring. Logan calls Cena a sellout. Cena calls Logan a disappointment. Cena flipped over the PRIME tray on the outside during his promo. Cena called Logan a parasite who knows nothing about loyalty or respect. He told him to bring his A game to Clash in Paris. Logan tried to punch Cena, but Cena ducked and laid him out with an AA.
• Drew McIntyre speaks with Logan backstage.
• Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) def. MFTs (Tonga Loa & JC Matteo). Jimmy Uso and Sami Zayn attacked Solo Sikoa and Talla Tonga, who were on the outside, during the match.
• R-Truth reveals he flew to Dublia, GA and not Dublin, Ireland so he’s missing his match against Aleister Black. Truth announces Damian Priest as his replacement.
• Priest and Black brawl around the ring until security breaks them up.
• Drew McIntyre gives a medical update on Cody Rhodes, calling him a little bitch. Randy Orton appears behind him and hits an RKO.
• Nia Jax meets with Becky Lynch backstage
• Tiffany Stratton & Jade Cargill def. Becky Lynch & Nia Jax. Becky left in the middle of the match
• Logan Paul knocks out John Cena with a punch backstage. Cena was about to speak to Nick Aldis, who said, “I just heard from Brock Lesnar.”
