Nemeth speaks further about his comeback.

After spending 20 years with WWE, Nic Nemeth a.k.a. Dolph Ziggler’s time with the company came to an end in September 2023.

After several years away, he returned to the company as a part of the John Cena ‘Last Time is Now’ tournament. Nemeth fell in defeat to Solo Sikoa.

He spoke further about his return while on Off The Ropes with Jonathan Coachman. Nemeth revealed that when WWE first contacted him about the opportunity, there was the idea floated to him that they were going to announce his return ahead of time by releasing brackets for the tournament.

“A few weeks ago when I was told, it’s like, ‘Hey, we’re gonna have you in this thing and we’re gonna announce it ahead of time. They’re going to show brackets’ or something, and I go, ‘Oh my God, that’s such a bad idea.’ I go, ‘Is there any way we’re not doing this?’ They go, ‘There might be something they’re gonna put out today. It’ll be on social media. Maybe retweet or something.’ I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I hope this doesn’t happen’ and nothing happened.”

Nemeth is working with TNA and is the current holder of the Call Your Shot Gauntlet trophy. Several days before his WWE return, Nemeth was in action for TNA in the main event of the Turning Point special.
