News Regarding WWE’s Internal Reaction To AJ Lee’s Return Match
Fightful Select has a new report regarding the internal reaction to AJ Lee’s return bout.
The match between AJ Lee and CM Punk against Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch at WWE Wrestlepalooza was AJ Lee’s first match in over 11 years. In the end, Lee made Becky Lynch tap out to the Black Widow and secured the victory for herself and her husband.
Fightful Select has learned that the internal reaction to the match was positive, particularly regarding AJ’s performance. AJ Lee’s return to the ring is not expected to be a one-off. AJ signed a new contract after returning to WWE on September 5, 2025.
