New Matches Added To Shinnichi Champion x NJPW Event

New matches added to the fray.

Shinnichi Champion, a variety show produced by the staff of New Japan Pro-Wrestling, is collaborating with the promotion to present a wrestling show on September 12th.

It is taking place at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, and tickets are sold out. Below are the matches that were previously announced:

• • Zack Sabre Jr., Tomohiro Ishii, Taichi & Ryusuke Taguchi vs. Shota Umino, Yuya Uemura, Ryohei Oiwa & Kosei Fujita
  • Yuji Nagata, YOSHI-HASHI & Katsuya Murashima vs. Togi Makabe, Toru Yano & Shoma Kato

There are new additions to that lineup, and the first announcement was a Ranbo match. The current participants are SHO, YOH, Hiromu Takahashi, El Phantasmo, and Masatora Yasuda.

The event is also going to feature a Battle Royal, where every participant will wear a mask. The wrestler who is the last remaining to have their mask on will be declared the winner. The winner gets to ‘realize their dream’ on a future episode of Shinnichi Champion.

Lastly, it was announced that there will be a ‘Tenzan Clinic’ featuring Hiroyoshi Tenzan, YOH, and Tsumugi Mitani (TV Asahi announcer), among other participants.

Satoshi Kojima and Tomoaki Honma are providing commentary for the show.
