New AEW World Champion MJF To Appear At AEW Dynamite: New Year’s Smash

The new champion’s first appearance.

Closing out AEW’s 2025 Worlds End pay-per-view was a four-way for the AEW World Championship. Samoa Joe went into the match as champion and defended against MJF, Swerve Strickland, and Hangman Adam Page.

Emerging victorious from the bout was MJF, who pinned Joe to capture the AEW World Title for a second time. It was at the 2023 Worlds End pay-per-view where Joe ended MJF’s first AEW World Title reign.

Immediately after MJF’s title win at the 2025 pay-per-view, it was made official that he’ll be appearing at Dynamite: New Year’s Smash on December 31st.
