Moose Comments On Gail Kim Being Fired By TNA Wrestling, Understands It’s A Business
In March, TNA Wrestling made the decision to fire Gail Kim, who had been in talent relations and with the company in some capacity since 2011.
The move came just over a year after Scott D’Amore, who was President of TNA at the time, had his contract terminated by the promotion.
Appearing on Salud Cabrones, Moose was asked how the locker room was feeling after D’Amore’s departure.
“The locker room sucked. Obviously, Scott was a guy everyone wanted. He was a big name synonymous with TNA and he was there, kind of like me, from when it was the shits to now when it’s great. At least for me, I also understand business. I come from a football world where you see firings all the time. It sucks, but business as usual. If anybody in the locker room understood the business of it all, it was me. I’ve dealt with it and seen it so many times. Even some of the guys in the locker room who have been in WWE, they see cuts all the time. It fucking happens. It sucks and it sucks that it happened to a good friend of ours.
“Same thing with Gail. Gail is a great friend of mine and I love Gail to death. It sucked that she got let go, but it’s one of those things that we see it all the time where we’re kind of numb to it. We just hope that it was done for the right reasons and the right reasons to help the brand. We just keep moving forward and doing what we can control. The only thing I can control is my performance out there. Everything else is out of my control. I really don’t even like speaking on it because I’m not in those meetings about making more money for TNA, so I don’t know what the rights and all those years. Who am I to give my two cents to who they should hire and fire? I don’t know shit about it. The only thing I know is how to run this spot, how to do a dropkick and a springboard. That’s what I know how to do.”
D’Amore has since begun running shows under the Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling. Fightful Select has details on where Gail Kim was recently spotted.
Moose is the reigning TNA X-Division Champion.
