Montez Ford Reflects On WWE SummerSlam, ‘We Showed The World Exactly What They’ve Been Missing’
Montez Ford reflects on WWE SummerSlam.
During night two of the August premium live event, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins got the chance to compete in the six-team TLC match for the WWE Tag Team Championships. This match also featured the Wyatt Sicks, #DIY, Fraxiom, the Motor City Machine Guns, and the duo of Andrade and Rey Fenix.
Notably, this was Dawkins and Ford’s first match on a Premium Live Event since April 2024, when they competed at WrestleMania XL. Before that, the duo hadn’t wrestled on a PLE since Fastlane in October 2023.
On Thursday, August 8, Montez Ford took to Instagram to reflect on the opportunity, saying that they showed the world what they’ve been missing.
“A FEW LOSSES BUT, LIFE & THE BANK ACCOUNTS REALLY IS…..SWEET. 16 months, before this past weekend’s SummerSlam was the last time we were on a PLE. And last weekend, we showed the world exactly what they have been missing! Work hard, stay focused, and forget the noise. SWEET. now what’s next?”
