MJF: “There Is The Big Promotion That Loves To Talk About How Much They Want To Cultivate Their Young Talent, But Everyone On Top Of Their Card Is Not Young”

MJF takes a jab at WWE.

The reigning AEW World Champion MJF was in action at Limitless Wrestling’s January 16th show. He successfully defended the AEW World Championship against Alec Price. MJF would go on to offer AEW talent contracts to Price and Jordan Oliver, who accompanied Price to the ring.

MJF spoke about Oliver and Price while being interviewed by Justin Barrasso of Undisputed.

“I look at Alec Price and Jordan Oliver, and I think they have what it takes and then some. They can be a part of this new generation. They’re both extremely talented, and I know I have a responsibility with the position I’m in, and it’s one I don’t take lightly. Cultivating professional wrestling–that excites me.”

He went on to say that it saddens him that there’s a big promotion in the wrestling space that loves to talk about sculpting their young talent, but not everyone on the top of their card is young.

“Here’s what saddens me. There is the big promotion that loves to talk about how much they want to cultivate their young talent, but everyone on the top of their card is not young.”

MJF is coming off the heels of his first AEW World Title defense of this current reign. He defeated Bandido via referee’s decision at Dynamite: Maximium Carnage.
