MJF & Místico Agree to CMLL World Title vs. Mask Match at CMLL 92 Anniversary

MJF and Místico have agreed to an Apuestas match as part of CMLL’s 92 Anniversary Show on 9/19 inside Arena Mexico.

The main event of CMLL’s 8/15 show was a singles match for the CMLL World Light Heavyweight Title. The champion, MJF, defeated Zandokan Jr. in an intense brawl.

The back end saw the referee fall after being shoved by the competitors. This allowed MJF to hit a low blow and lock in a Fujiwara Arm Bar for the submission win.

After stealing Zandokan Jr.’s mask, Místico appeared. After a back-and-forth, MJF & Mistico agreed to a mask vs. title match at the 92 Anniversary show on 9/19.

This will be Místico’s first apuestas match since 2017, in which he defeated Black Warrior inside Arena Naucalpan in an apuestas rematch of their iconic bout from the 73rd Anniversary match. This will also be Místico’s first time putting his mask on the line since his match against Trevor Lee for MLW.

This will be MJF’s second title defense with CMLL & his first-ever apuestas match of his career.

This is the sixth card announced for the show so far. The following is the updated card for the 92nd Anniversary.

• CMLL Women’s World Tag Team Championship Match: Chicas Indomables (Lluvia & Jarochita) (c) vs. Persephone & Reyna Isis.
• Hair vs. Hair Match: Rey Bucanero vs. El Felino.
• CMLL World Tag Team Championship Match: TBD (c) vs. Villanos (Villano III Jr. & Hijo del Villano III).
• CMLL World Light Heavyweight Championship Match: MJF (c) vs. Místico.
• Apuestas Eliminator: Último Guerrero & Averno vs. Dragón Rojo Jr. & Bárbaro Cavernario vs. Esfinge & El Valiente.
• Apuestas Match: TBD vs. TBD.
