MJF talks acting.

Max is one of several wrestlers that feature in the new movie, Happy Gilmore 2. In the movie, he plays one of Happy Gilmore’s children and for Max, he feels that Adam Sandler (who plays Happy), is actually like a father to him.

While speaking to TMZ in a new interview, MJF was asked about Adam Sandler raving about his performance, with the AEW name noting that Sandler is ‘like a father’ to him at this point.

“Absolutely, man. Look, he’s really like a father to me at this point. I grew up absolutely looking up to him and idolizing him as a kid, and to be a part of what is essentially Americana, when you think about Happy Gilmore and what’s going to be a gigantic, awesome, big comedy, it’s so special, I can’t say enough positive things.”

Max would then be asked that it’s safe to assume that he will look to continue acting, with the former AEW World Champion noting he will take acting just as seriously as professional wrestling.

“Absolutely. I’m taking acting just as seriously as I do professional wrestling, and I’m very excited about it.”

Elsewhere in another recent interview, Max spoke about John Cena and how he was his ‘first love’ in professional wrestling. You can read more about that here.

Happy Gilmore 2 released on Netflix on July 25th, featuring MJF as part of the cast, as well as Eminem making a quick cameo. You can read more about that here.
