Missa Kate On Wrestling Experienced Names On The Indies: It’s Refreshing, I Want More Of It
Missa Kate is having a ball on the indies.
In 2025 alone, Kate has faced off against a number of prominent independent names like Blair Onyx, Maya World, Shazza McKenize, Allysin Kay, and Marti Belle.
These matchups are coming at a pivotal point in Kate’s wrestling journey, as 2024 was one of the best years of her entire career.
In a new interview with Fightful, Kate talked about getting to wrestle some of the top names on the independent scene and how she can have fun with those matches.
“It’s a lot of fun and it’s refreshing because for the longest time, which again I’m not mad at, at the time I wasn’t understanding but everything happens for a reason. I just felt like I constantly wrestled newer girls. So I was just like, ‘When is it going happen? I want to breathe, I want to enjoy,’ and all that. Not saying I didn’t enjoy but when you’re wrestling somebody newer sometimes it’s a little like I can’t relax at all. But yeah, no, wrestling people like them, like girls that you mentioned, it’s great because I’m like we can bounce off of each other and I can have that trust that like we can play around and it’s not a very ABC match. It’s very like, ‘Oh, we can have fun,’ and all that stuff. So it’s like I said, it’s refreshing and I want more of it.”
