Mike Walden Says Future Acting Projects Are ‘Up In The Air,’ Focused On Tulsa King Role

Mike “Cash Flo” Walden reflects on appearing in music videos and how that helps in wrestling. He also comments on whether or not there are future acting projects lined up for him.

Mike Walden plays Bigfoot on Tulsa King. His character is Dwight Manfredi’s bodyguard, played by Sylvester Stallone. In addition to his acting projects, he’s also appeared in music videos.

During an interview with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Mike Walden explained the parallels he finds between the worlds of professional wrestling and acting. He also discussed portraying a character similar to himself in real life.

“The music videos, they’re pretty similar. I tell the young guys, you’re cutting vignettes—30 seconds 45 seconds at a time—you have to be in those moments. You have to understand the role that it is you’re trying to play. Music videos are the same except if you overlay some music and a musician. I happen to be good friends with some of those musicians too, and it’s, ‘Hey, this song, it tells me about you. Do you want to do it?’ ‘Hey, let’s do it.’ There’s a couple other people that are asking me about doing some music videos as well. So it’s pretty cool to be able to be a part of that.”

Furthermore, Walden was asked about the possibility of working on future projects. He says that he has auditioned for some projects, but similar to the world of wrestling, until it actually happens, nothing is guaranteed.

“I’ve read for some projects, but acting is also parallel to wrestling in other avenues too, Until it happens, until you’re there, until you’re on set—nothing is set in stone. You can read for stuff. People can tell you stuff. You can go visit stuff, whatever, but until it actually happens, it’s up in the air because it can go, it can come, it could go. But there’s been some other opportunities, but like I said, right now Tulsa King, is the biggest show in the world and I’m stoked to be a part of it. Tulsa King is where I’m at right now.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Walden opened up about getting compliments from the man who portrayed Rocky Balboa. Read more here.
