Mike Santana Pins TNA World Champion Trick Williams In Tag Match On TNA iMPACT!
Mike Santana pinned Trick Williams on TNA iMPACT!
Trick Williams is a WWE NXT Superstar and the current TNA Wrestling World Champion. After successfully defending his championship against Mike Santana and Joe Hendry at TNA Slammiversary, Williams declared that he only had to defend the championship once every 50 days, as per his lawyer’s instructions and the details of his contract.
However, that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t have to wrestle, and on the August 28 episode of TNA iMPACT!, he teamed with AJ Francis against Mike Santana and Steve Maclin. Unfortunately for Williams, he would lose the match for his team, as he missed the Trick Shot Knee and got rolled up by Santana.
On commentary, Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt put over Santana being willing to wait the 50 days in order to challenge Williams for the championship.
Fightful will continue to monitor this story and report when Williams has to defend the TNA World Championship next.
