Mike Santana: AJ Styles Is The One Dream Match I’m Chasing

Mike Santana once again speaks on a potential match against AJ Styles.

Mike Santana is at the top of the TNA mountain as the reigning TNA World Heavyweight Champion, and he’s looking for one big dream match before the other man calls it a career.

Speaking to O’Shea Jackson Jr. and TJ Henderson on No-Contest Wrestling, Santana was asked about potentially facing Styles before he retires.

“I’ve been very blessed in my career to have worked with so many different people, especially people I grew up watching and idolized. There is only one dream match that I’m chasing. There is one left for me, and it’s AJ Styles. There is no one like him. When he’s gone, there isn’t going to be anyone like him. He hasn’t been in TNA since 2015-16. He’s still recognized to this day after the amazing things he’s done since leaving, the fact that he’s still synonymous with TNA and still considered the face and original homegrown talent speaks volumes. I’m in this position as the face and a homegrown talent. The story is there and writes itself. To be able to get in there with him, learn from him, and say I went toe-to-toe with one of the best in wrestling ever…if I could do it for the TNA Title, in a TNA ring, that’s it right there,” said Santana.

Styles has said that he plans on retiring in 2026, though an exact date is not known.

Styles did return to TNA at TNA Slammiversary, making an in-ring appearance and praising Leon Slater, but not competing.
