Mike Bailey Addresses Heat With MVP, Jokes ‘We Hate Each Other. Of Course. Sure’
A report was published in August indicating heat between MVP and “Speedball” Mike Bailey in AEW.
The report stated that MVP didn’t want The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin) to lose the AEW Tag Team Titles to JetSpeed (Bailey & Kevin Knight). Bailey and MVP filmed a backstage segment for Bailey’s vlog where they said “Fuck you” to each other, playing off the report.
Speaking to 94Wip, Bailey was asked about the reported heat.
“He said ‘fuck you’ to me, I said ‘fuck you’ to him. This is pro wrestling. I think it’s very silly to go online, read that these two pro wrestlers do not like each other. ‘Oh man, they hate each other.’ This is a wrestling show. Kevin and I tried to take the Hurt Syndicate’s tag team championships away from them many times for several months leading up to All In. We hate each other. Of course. Sure. [Laughs]. Why not. At the end of the day, whatever makes the best show for the audience is what we’re into. If hating each other is part of that, then let’s roll with it,” he said.
The Hurt Syndicate lost the AEW Tag Team Titles to Brodido (Bandido & Brody King), though FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) were pinned in the three-way tag team match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
