Mercedes Moné Becomes Interim ROH Women’s World TV Champion, Retains TBS Title At AEW WrestleDream

Another belt added to Moné’s collection.
One of the championship matches on the bill for AEW WrestleDream was Mercedes Moné’s open challenge for the TBS Championship. It was advertised that another champion would be challenging Moné, and both of their titles would be up for grabs.
Answering Moné’s call was the Interim ROH Women’s World Television Champion Mina Shirakawa. The final sequence of the bout saw Moné catch Shirakawa with a backslide pin, and Moné placed her foot on the bottom rope for leverage.
That was enough to secure the three-count to become the new Interim ROH Women’s World TV Champion. Moné is now in possession of 11 championship belts. The current ROH Women’s World Television Champion is Red Velvet, and when she is cleared to compete, she’ll face Moné to determine the undisputed champion.
After Moné’s title victory, the current AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander returned to the ring. Moné swung on her, and Statlander ducked it and laid Moné out. Before Moné’s open challenge, she showed up during Statlander’s celebration of her win over ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm and demanded that Statlander leave the ring. Statlander obliged.
