Maya World Accepts Fightful Award For Indie Wrestler Of The Year, ‘I Did So Much And Ended The Year By Signing With AEW’
Maya World has won the 2025 Fightful award for Indie Wrestler of the Year.
“I just want to thank Sean Ross Sapp and everyone at Fightful for voting me Indie Wrestler of the Year. I had such a great 2025. I started by debuting for STARDOM, debuting for MARVELOUS, as well as TJPW. I faced my mentor Athena. I did so much and then I ended the year by getting signed by AEW. Thank you, and I’ll keep it going in 2026,” Maya said in her acceptance speech.
Maya became a two-time VIP Women’s Champion in 2025. She competed for GCW, ROH, Wrestling REVOLVER, TJPW, STARDOM, DPW, and many more promotions during her time on the independents. She was signed by AEW in December.
