Maxxine Dupri reflects on receiving advice from John Cena prior to Cena’s retirement from professional wrestling.

Earlier this month, John Cena would compete in his final wrestling match against Gunther, walking away from the industry in the aftermath. As he wound down his career, Cena would offer his advice to anyone who would take him in the run up to his retirement, including at the Hart Dungeon and more.

While speaking to The Wrestling Classic in a new interview, Maxxine Dupri was asked about if she received any advice from Cena, with Dupri reflecting on attending Cena’s seminar at The Hart Dungeon.

“Oh, my gosh. I did, actually, because- as the two Intercontinental Champions. I have a little checkbox.
He was extremely kind to me, and I also got to attend his seminar at the Dungeon. He also went to Flatbacks for Bayley’s seminar. But I was there for the one at the Dungeon, and I feel like I got such great advice from him about truly doing what we’ve seen Chelsea (Green) do. Make the most of every moment. No matter what happens, take it and run with it. How can you be different? How can you be creative? How can you think outside the box? Once you have the fundamentals, how do you grow from there? That was a really cool conversation to have with the actual GOAT.”

Maxxine is currently scheduled to defend her WWE Intercontinental Championship against Becky Lynch on the January 5th edition of WWE Monday Night RAW against Becky Lynch. You can read more about that here.
