Maxxine Dupri Reflects On Facing Becky Lynch For Women’s IC Title On WWE Raw: “I Had Every Emotion”

There was a part of Dupri that felt confident.

The August 11th edition of Monday Night Raw saw Maxxine Dupri challenge Becky Lynch for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship.

Lynch came out on top in the five-minute bout to retain her title. Dupri reflected on the bout while speaking to Good Karma Wrestling and said the following:

“Monday was a whirlwind. I had every emotion. I was nervous. So nervous. I have not been that nervous in a while for a match. But grateful, and I also had this weird confidence because I have been working so hard in the dungeon with Natalya for this moment. So, the match did not end how I had wanted it to. However, I now have my first championship match under my belt, it’s out of the way and now it’s like, okay, I know what I need to do, so that next time, I can go home with the Women’s Intercontinental Title.”

Lynch has had five successful title defenses since winning the belt at Money in the Bank. She last defended against Natalya on the 8/18 Monday Night Raw.
