Matthew Rehwoldt believes that the ride TNA has been on feels similar to NXT’s Black And Gold run.
While Rehwoldt is currently signed to TNA, he is a former WWE superstar where he wrestled under the Aiden English ring name, largely in NXT as part of The Vaudevillains. Now, Rehwoldt has discussed the two runs of his careers, noting that they feel similar.
While speaking to Death Arts Xiii By Ash in a new interview, Rehwoldt noted that he feels like TNA’s current run is reminiscent of NXT’s Black And Gold run.
“I tell people this a lot, and the ride TNA has been on the last three to four years feels very similar to my time during NXT’s Black and Gold run when that blew up, you know, it, it felt like this very raw, very organic, very like natural thing that the fans wanted to see. They wanted more of, and that that passion just kept getting felt more and more and the brand grew more and more, and so that’s, what’s been happening here too. Now we are an alternative network.”
In a recent interview with Fightful, Matthew noted that commentary is his super power. You can read more about that here.
