Matt Riddle Claims Brock Lesnar Cut 2022 WWE Elimination Chamber Match Short By 15 Minutes: “Paul Heyman Pretended Like It Didn’t Happen”

Riddle shares a story about Brock Lesnar.
WWE’s 2022 Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event emanated from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. A men’s Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Championship headlined the show. Competing in the match were Brock Lesnar, Bobby Lashley, AJ Styles, Austin Theory, Matt Riddle, and Seth Rollins.
A story from that match was shared by Riddle while he was on TMZ’s Inside The Ring podcast. He explained how Lesnar cut the match short by 15 minutes. Riddle added that Paul Heyman tried to pretend as if Lesnar didn’t do what he did. Riddle said Lesnar went into business for himself.
“I’ve worked with Brock (Lesnar) a couple times, and at Elimination Chamber in Saudi, he literally forgot what number he was supposed to come out, punched the plexiglass door, which isn’t super strong. I can kick through it but you’re not supposed to, and then he just bum-rushed. He cut the match by 15 minutes. He’s like, ‘Oh! Sell. F5…’ And Paul Heyman pretended like it didn’t happen. He was like, ‘Oh, that was my mistake,’ and it’s like, no, it wasn’t. It’s f*cking him, dude. He just went into business for himself.”
Lesnar returned to WWE at SummerSlam to set up what would eventually be the singles match against John Cena at Wrestlepalooza. Lesnar dominated Cena to pick up the win.
Lesnar had been away from WWE because he was named in former WWE employee Janel Grant’s sex trafficking lawsuit against Vince McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis, who has since been dropped from the suit after he agreed to provide Grant with evidence on the case.
