Matt Riddle Recalls Royal Rumble 2022; Claims Brock Lesnar Said, ‘I Just Did Business For Bobby Lashley, You Guys Are All Going To Do Business For Me’

Matt Riddle talks Royal Rumble 2022.

The Men’s Royal Rumble match from January 2022 is often considered to be one of the worst Royal Rumble matches of all time. With an uneventful winner, strange elimination choices, and a weird focus on wrestlers that weren’t at the top of the card.

Brock Lesnar ended up winning the match, despite competing and losing to Bobby Lashley earlier that night. In a new interview, Riddle told TMZ’s Inside The Ring podcast about Lesnar coming into the locker room and telling everyone that he was winning.

“But they went a different route [from me winning], I believe Brock won. I’ll be honest, I remember being in the locker room because there’s a bunch of people, Shane McMahon, a bunch of people were there. We had different ideas and plans and dude, [Brock] came in and was like, ‘I just did business for Bobby Lashley, you guys are all going to do business for me.’ Then, Shane McMahon mentioned and asked if he could pick him up for a spot and Brock just looked at him like, no.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Riddle took aim at CM Punk, Bill Goldberg, and Roman Reigns. Check out his full comments on all three stars by clicking here.
