Matt Hardy Thinks Righteous Feud Could Be A Good Bridge For The Hardys To Lean Into Buying Their Own Hype

Matt Hardy wants The Hardys to lean into their foolish side.
As many fans know, Matt and Jeff Hardy are currently in the midst of a heated rivalry with The Righteous. Things will come to a boiling point at TNA Genesis, as both teams will face off in a tag bout.
Speaking with Reel Appreciation for a new interview, Matt Hardy opened up about wanting to show that there is entertainment value in a borderline-arrogant version of team.
“We’re currently in the middle of a rivalry with The Righteous and they’re saying that we want to help you guys ascend because you are the goats, you’re the greatest but we think you can walk with the immortals. I think even this might be a good bridge to us buying into and believing in our own heads that we really are the goats and we run this and standing ten toes down. I think there’s a lot of entertainment value that can come out of some Hardys that are almost in their own head and a little fool of themselves.”
The Hardys are set to team with Cedric Alexander and Leon Slater on the January 8 episode of TNA iMPACT. Fans can check out the full lineup for that show here.
