Matt Hardy Has Discussed Potential OMEGA Documentary, Wants To Get All Footage Digitized
Before Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy became WWE superstars, they ran a small independent promotion in North Carolina called OMEGA Championship Wrestling.
OMEGA was the home of the Hardys, Shannon Moore, Shane Helms, Joey Matthews, Christian York, and more before many went on to find success in WWE, WCW, and ECW.
Speaking on his Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, Matt was asked about the OMEGA library.
“I’ve been talking with someone who wanted to an OMEGA DVD, maybe a documentary series. He works at WRAL in Raleigh, Chris Lee. He’s got another guy and they’ve done a couple of documentaries. They did a documentary about the Dorton Arena, which won an award. We have talked to him about doing that and we had some ideas. I have been so busy this year, just nonstop go. I would like to, in some way. I would like to get everything on digital before it’s too late and it’s gone. That is something I’m working on and I want to do at some point,” he said.
OMEGA was revived in 2013 and partnered with Global Force Wrestling in 2015, but has not run an event since 2017.
Elsewhere during the interview, Matt commented on Jeff’s neck injury. You can find his comments here.
