Matt Cardona: This Might Be Worse Than My Debut Match At A High School Gym

While Matt Cardona is thrilled that his parents support him, he knows they don’t have to come to every show anymore. Their love and appreciation means the world to him, but he texted them “please don’t come to this!” ahead to GCW at The Showboat in Atlantic City.

Cardona’s social media post included him saying, “Listen, I love that they support me. Come to the Hammerstein Ballroom…. Come to a bigger show. Don’t come to this Sunday show in Atlantic City at the f*****g Showboat Casino in some weird room on the second floor.”

“I mean you came to WrestleMania… this might be worse than my debut match at a high school gym. I’m not f*****g kidding,” Cardona added.

One of the most iconic moments in Cardona’s career included him celebrating winning the Intercontinental Championship with his Dad at WrestleMania 32. The video ends with Cardona laughing about his father’s recent appearance at the Showboat where he took a light tube to the head from Nick Gage.

Cardona is not part of GCW’s upcoming “Green Mountains and Me” show that marks their first appearance in Vermont.
