Matt Cardona Thinks He And Chelsea Green Could Beat CM Punk And AJ Lee Or Seth Rollins And Becky Lynch

Matt Cardona wants to team with his wife, Chelsea Green, in WWE, and even thinks that they could beat the two couples that just battled each other at WWE Wrestlepalooza.

Matt Cardona has not been shy about stating that he would like to return to WWE one day. While he’s enjoying his time on the independent circuit, he wants another WrestleMania moment, and he would also like the opportunity to be paired with his wife on WWE TV. Chelsea Green is currently a top star in WWE’s women’s division, becoming the inaugural WWE Women’s United States Champion in December 2024.

On-screen couples are currently all the rage in WWE after the match featuring CM Punk and AJ Lee versus Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch. Matt Cardona was recently asked about that match and whether he believes he and Chelsea could beat the winner. Cardona was confident that they could beat whoever won, and like CM Punk, he praised his wife for her success in her career, saying that she would be the one to secure the victory for the couple.

“Well, I mean, of course, we would go over. Chelsea Green would hit her finish, 1-2-3. I would love to team with Chelsea Green in a WWE ring. Never say never. We’ll see what happens. I think it has to happen. It’s gotta happen,” he told Mister Swiff.
