Mark Henry Thinks Joe Hendry Should Come Out And Lay Down For A Pin After John Cena’s Final Match

Mark Henry wants Joe Hendry to be involved in John Cena’s final match.
For months now, Henry has been open about wanting Joe Hendry to be John Cena’s final opponent. The cards did not play out that way, as the second round of the tournament will kick off on the November 24 episode of Raw.
Speaking with TMZ’s Inside The Ring podcast, Mark Henry proposed a different solution, saying that Hendry should come to the ring and lay down for Cena after his final match.
“Even if it was Gunther, I would be satisfied, but then I still would want dessert. I would want Joe Hendry to come out and say, I didn’t make it in the tournament but before you leave, I want you to allow me the privilege of being in the ring with you. When Joe Hendry gets in the ring, you would thing that John would be like, ‘Listen man, I’m done, I just had my last match.’ John is a soldier and I would have Joe Hendry say, ‘John, I don’t want to fight you. I wanted to have a match with you because I wanted to do this’ and have Joe Hendry lay down on his back and tell John Cena to cover me so I had a match with you and you beat me on my record.”
Continuing on, Henry stressed the importance of creating emotional moments in wrestling.
“When you do things that are emotional and you do things that the heart strings to be pulled, that’s how you make it in wrestling. You have to emotionally affect people. It’s not about being in tight clothes and turning flips. It’s the storytelling. That’s what I hope they do, I hope they do something where not just one person is affected by John Cena but multiple.”
