Liv Morgan Thought The Finish Of John Cena vs. Gunther Was Perfect

John Cena tapped out in his last match, smiling before tapping to Gunther, who had him in a sleeper.
The finish to the match has been heavily discussed amongst fans and wrestlers, but count Liv Morgan was someone who loved the finish.
“I thought it was perfect. I really did. As a John Cena fan, number one fan growing up, I thought it was perfect. The element of the crowd wanting so badly for him to break out of that hold. If I wasn’t crying at John Cena, I was crying at the crowd’s belief that he was going to come out of the hold. [Stephanie mentions the crowd chanting ‘Don’t give up.’] It was so beautiful. You could look at his facial a couple of different ways. Was he smiling because this was the end and he was gracious to let it go or you can be cheeky and be like, ‘He fucking up to Gunther. He didn’t have to tap. He gave up because his time was up.’ There are different ways you can look at it. In my mind, John Cena didn’t tap out because he had to tap out, he tapped out because his time was up and it’s Gunther’s turn. ‘Here you go, bro. Not because I need to tap, but here you go.’ I thought it was perfect. I loved it and I cried at it,” she said while speaking to Stephanie McMahon on What’s Your Story?
