Liv Morgan says she is excited to finally win the Rumble match for the first time this weekend.
Morgan has featured as part of eight Royal Rumble matches since WWE began running matches for the women beginning in 2018. In 2024, she would make a return from injury to compete in the match, coming up short, while in 2023, she would begin the match and end the match, being eliminated last as Rhea Ripley won the match. Now, Morgan believes it is her time to win the bout.
While speaking to ESPN SportsCenter, Liv Morgan noted that she is excited to ‘finally win’ the Rumble match.
“I’m excited to finally win it. You know, I’ve been in eight of these, like you just said. I’ve started this match. I’ve ended this match. I’ve had the record for the shortest time in this match. I’ve also shared the record for the longest time in this match. I’ve been runner-up twice, and so this year, I’m looking forward to finally winning it.”
When asked where she wants to enter in this years match, Morgan changed her tune from previous years, now wanting to enter the match at number 30.
“I think strategically you want to be in that match very last. You want to come in at number 30. You are the freshest. Everyone else is eliminated or highly fatigued from being in this match. So you want to come in last and have the highest chance of pulling it out. So we’ll see. It’s random. So we’ll see. We’ll see where I land this year.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Liv declared that the Royal Rumble is ‘kind of’ her match. You can read more about that here.
