Lana recalls how Brie Bella wanted her to retire her from in ring competition on the WWE RAW after WrestleMania 32.
WrestleMania 32 seen several WWE women’s stars go up against each other in a multi-woman tag team bout that would feature team Total Divas taking on a team of non-Total Divas cast members. The bout would feature the in ring debut of Lana and now, it looks like plans for an even bigger follow up for Lana were scrapped.
While speaking to Ring The Belle in a new interview, Lana noted that Brie Bella pitched for her to retire the former Divas Champion on the RAW after WrestleMania 32, after initially pitching the multi-woman tag team match at WrestleMania.
“Brie (Bella) actually pitched this story, it was all Brie. I’m so thankful. She actually pitched for me to have a singles match the next night against her and to go over and actually put her into retirement. I was really nervous, I was okay it didn’t happen, because I wasn’t ready. Vince wanted her to win on the high and go off as a babyface, I totally understand that and I supported that because I was training, and I just didn’t feel like I was ready yet. Everything happens for a reason, my time will come, even though that would have been mega heat!”
Elsewhere in another recent interview, Lana spoke about how she will be soon returning to the indies as a manager. You can read more about that here.
