Kyle Fletcher Praises The Mic Skills Of John Cena And The Miz, Wants To Get To Their Level

Kyle Fletcher has started to come into his own on the microphone since aligning with Don Callis and elevating into larger feuds.

Fletcher has gone bar for bar with Hangman Page in the weeks leading up to their AEW World Title match at AEW All Out.

Appearing on Busted Open Radio, Fletcher was asked if there is anyone he draws inspiration from in terms of mic skills.

“I’ve really been trying to, not so much lean on inspiration from other people,” he said. “Since I shaved my head, I’ve gotten so many comparisons to other people, I’m really trying to hammer home my own path and carve out my own path. Guys I look at, even still, when it comes to promos, every time I watch (John) Cena and one of his promos, I’m left with the feeling of, ‘This dude is the greatest on the microphone that I’ve ever witnessed.’ I have that feeling, and that’s something that I strive to achieve, that level on the mic. The Miz was one of my guys growing up. That’s another one that I still listen to and watch and go, ‘He’s so good on the mic.’ There are people that I probably look to, but I’m trying now to not specifically draw inspiration from them, more so, ‘How do I get to that level?'”
