Kurt Angle And Undertaker Debunk Rumor About Angle Ending Undertaker’s WrestleMania Streak

Kurt Angle and The Undertaker waste little time debunking a rumor about The Undertaker’s vaunted WrestleMania undefeated streak.

In 2006, Kurt Angle competed against The Undertaker at WWE No Way Out for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. This was their final pay-per-view match, but it was also celebrated as an instant classic. There were also rumors that year that Kurt Angle was in line to face the Undertaker at WrestleMania, potentially ending the undefeated streak of “The Phenom” at WrestleMania.

Kurt Angle is the latest guest on The Undertaker and Michelle McCool’s Six Feet Under podcast. The podcast opens with both men debunking that rumor to an individual off-camera.

Undertaker starts by saying, “No, I don’t want anybody to break that. We wanted to wrestle at ‘Mania, but I didn’t want anybody to break the streak.”

Kurt Angle responded by saying, “We wanted to wrestle each other… I don’t think the streak should have been broken. We presented it to Vince, and Vince said, ‘No, you’re going to wrestle the month before.’ That’s what he said.”

Michelle McCool could be heard agreeing when Angle said that he believed the Undertaker should have never lost a WrestleMania match. Of course, Undertaker would remain undefeated at WrestleMania until he faced Brock Lesnar at WWE WrestleMania XXX in 2014.
