Kota Ibushi Gives Update After Undergoing Another Surgery For A Screw Coming Loose
Kota Ibushi gives the latest update on how he’s feeling following a broken femur.
Ibushi suffered an injury on AEW Collision (taped on October 8), falling off the shoulders of Josh Alexander from the turnbuckle and to the outside.
On Thursday, Ibushi posted the following message on Instagram:
“A major screw came loose. This time, two spots are firmly secured. Complete rest! I was told several times, ‘Mr. Ibushi, complete rest!!’ but I’ll do things my way. I’m grateful, truly grateful, that I’m allowed freedom in my rehab. Thank you for the surgery. Thank you, everyone. Thank you, AEW.”
Ibushi also said he was supposed to be in the hospital for two weeks, but was out in three days.
In January, Ibushi said he was hoping to return in 2026 despite being told he would be sidelined for two years at the time of his injury.
Fightful wishes Kota Ibushi the best as he recovers.
