Konosuke Takeshita discusses Kazuchika Okada.

Since Kazuchika Okada arrived in AEW as a full time talent, fans have clamoured for a bout between Konosuke Takeshita and Okada in the future. However, the two are currently aligned together as part of the The Don Callis Family.

While speaking to Denise Salcedo in a new interview, Takeshita was asked about the Don Callis Family, with Konosuke noting that he’d rather face Okada than team with him.

“Yes, now Don Callis family, many members, a lot of members right? Then finally Okada joins Don Callis Family but I don’t wanna team up with him. I wanna wrestle with him. Yeah, so one day, I beat Rainmaker.”

Denise would then ask Takeshita further about a match between the pair.

“I know Japanese wrestling fans won’t watch me versus Okada in Japan. I know, but he chooses to wrestle in America. Also me too, right? So, yeah, one day on Dynamite, Collision, Pay Per View, I don’t know, but me versus Okada, it should be a crazy match. It’s like more… We have legacy in Japan, but we never wrestle. So if we do one-on-one, it should be fun. Yeah, 100%.”

Takeshita competed on Friday’s ROH Supercard of Honor event. You can read the full results from the show below.
